Sahrawi people are sending, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Polisario Front creation, “a strong message” to the world that “nothing could prevent them from achieving their just and legitimate objectives,” said Thursday in Awserd, the head of the Political Secretariat of Polisario Front Hamma Salama.
In his address at the ceremony marking the 45th anniversary of Polisario Front creation, Salama said that the “Front has become stronger, more united and more determined to achieve its objectives,” adding “it has been recognized by the UN as the sole legitimate representative of Sahrawi people.”
“Sahrawi people, through their liberation movement (Polisario Front), are sending a strong message to the world that nothing could prevent them from achieving their just and legitimate rights stated in the charters and resolutions of the UN and the AU,” he said.
On this occasion, the Sahrawi official expressed “great respect and gratitude to the friendly and brotherly countries which have supported the Sahrawi people’s legitimate struggle for freedom and independence, especially Algeria, the country of shuhada (martyrs) of the glorious Liberation War and Mecca for revolutionaries and free men, and which has constantly, since the beginning of the Sahrawi liberation struggle, expressed its support.”
Hamma also hailed Africa, which recognized the Sahrawi cause as the last decolonization issue in the continent, as well as the role of solidarity movements in Europe, Latin America and throughout the world.
