The Permanent Office of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front has confirmed that the Moroccan government’s unreasonable justification for its decision to sever diplomatic relations with Iran was related to cynical political opportunism as part of its campaign launched since March by resorting to misleading and endangering the security and stability of the region.
The Permanent Office expressed its “strong condemnation of the provocative colonial practices of the Moroccan occupation state in Western Sahara, including the attempt to change the legal nature of the territory through illegitimate administration, changing the demographic reality and establishing illegal activities such as elections, not to mention gross violations of human rights and the continued plundering of Sahrawi natural resources. ”
It warned against “the behavior of the Moroccan occupation state and its threats to resort to force, which constitutes an aggressive trend that destabilizes and threatens international peace and security,” stressing “the full commitment of the Sahrawi side to its obligations to the United Nations and the requirements of the Cease-fire Agreement and the Military Agreement No. 1 “.
